Neurotic Death Fest, es uno de los festivales mas éxitosos en materia de metal extremo en Europa central durante la época fria.  este festival "Indoor", es decir bajo techo ya 8 años y se extiende ya por tres dias en la ciudad Holandesa de Tilburg.  Para ésta ocasión nuestro corresponsal en dicho país que utiliza el pseudónimo de "C-187", se desplazó a dicha ciudad y nos proporcionó una reseña de la edición 2012 del festival, donde nos menciona lo que acontenció con algunas de las decenas de bandas que se presentaron en la ciudad Holandesa.  Los dejamos con el review, de primera mano, al estilo holandés "Dutch Style".

 

Saturday 2 march

I started with legends Asphyx, they bring up Death...the brutal way, The forgotten war and Pages in blood.

The enthousiasic vocalist Martin van Drunen asked the public: Are you enjoying yourselves?
A real party maker. Most songs begin with slow intro's and then the fast heavieness breaks lose.
I felt like that a train ride over me.

Napalm Death introduces much stuff from their new album Utilitarian.
Barney Greenway moved over the podium like a madmen while Shane Emburrys bass punches on stage.
There motto was: Free from religion instead of free of religion.
Someone stagedived, he had a gasmask on its head.Actually this is forbidden.

 

Sunday 3 march

The vomiting grind vocals from Belgian metallers Leng Tche came to the ear.
Their repertoir: Totalitarian, Time is against me and Godmass Hysteria
The double vocals with grunts changed by the other vocalist screams were perfomed well
Killer guitar and drums moved the public into mosh pitting.

I saw a short glimpse of Acheron, said: Fuck your church!
Think they played: Im heathen and Church of one.

Hour of Penance's surprise was: Shreds of martyrs, Far beyond humiliation and Absence of truth.
These Italians had some solid, technical riffs.
That sickle guitar looked awesome and they made a trashy sound with it.

Origin brought almost the entire Entity album. Songs: Purgatory, Conceiving death, Swarm and Wrath of Vishnu.
Wellknown for the double bassdrum almost Pete Sandoval style.
Their singer told much about the new stuff, but it came over as semi intelectual nonsense that mankind couldn't understand.

Then i saw a short glimpse of Dictated and Beneath the massacre, both halls were full and had nice acoestics when they came up.

The germans of Morgoth brought much from the old Odium album and they played: The art of sinking, Resistance, Burnt identity and Pits of Utumno.
Marc Grewe asked the public: Are you having fun? and Are you ready for some old school?
Their low tuned complex was interesting with the typical deep bass sound and yells from the vocalist: Awwww

Sunday 4 march

The fetish clothed and warpainted Behemoth was as an cinematic act.
With their evil emperor, the goatheaded devil Belial and six armed demon Shiva as projection on the background.
Songs were: Slaves shall serve, At the left hand ov god, The reign of Shemsu-hor, Sculpting the throne of Seth and more.
The godlike bald Nergal motivated the public with his gestures.

Then the so called Slam deathmetal from Internal Bleeding putted a big smile on your face.
Equipment from genre friends Misery Index was used.
Komediant Keith DeVito announced the songs with bravoure, he explained it was about revenge and having sex.
Inhuman suffering, God of subservance and another few songs they brought
One band member, the guitarist was replaced this show because the original had a birthday party of its child.
In between they sung Happy birthday to you.

The slaughter from Cannibal Corpse was perfomed with there passionate stuff such as: The wretched spawn, I'll kill you and Evisceration plague. Then mr. George Fisher told the fans: I wanna hear noise from the ladys only.This one is special for the scary bitches.You should be afraid of us!
Webster and Murciewizc kicked in and there was Fucked with a knife.
Overwhelming the audience was and at certain moments the guitar sounds bounced back if it were echoes.

Fisher spoke to us: You do headbanging? We do headspinning!
Right after that the members spinned with their heads like a lawnmower on the loose!

In General:
The 8th edition of the fest was a big succes for the grindcore and deathmetal fan.
Nice view from the balcony, but second and third stages were too small to let all the poeple in.
There was a food corner for a hamburger called The Behemoth.
Merchandise was spread over the festival and you could asked questions on Information desks.

The parking can be a pain in the ass, expensive 14,50 for the whole day.

To the organization lot of thanks, specially to Sanne for the acreditation, See u @ NDF 2013!!!
